Silver Creek Senior Citizens hold final meeting in 2023

SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on Dec. 19 with 25 members present.

Vice President Jan Snyder opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag and all singing “God Bless America”. Chaplain Pauline Flitt read “A Prayer about the true meaning of Christmas” and asked for a blessing on the food and those present. Members celebrated with a very nice selection of snacks and then had cake and ice cream for the November and December birthdays.

The 50-50 winners were: Annette Hoeber, Pauline, and Gene Chesbro. Door prizes were won by Max Church, Janice and Arlene Miller. Wheel of Fortune winners included Janice, Pauline, Don Hoeber, Jan Polisoto, Sue Borowski, and Tony Borrello. Janice called bingo and winners were: Eleanor Lemiszko ((3 times), Enabell Mirando, Max, Sally Shevlin (3 times) and Lorrie Newman.

There were no meetings on Dec. 26 or Jan. 2. On Jan. 9 the club will have a pasta luncheon.

The Silver Creek Senior Group meets Tuesdays at 1 p.m. Anyone over the age of 62 can attend. Call Lorrie for information at 716-934-2170.
