Gowanda High offers free admission to play starting Friday, Nov. 16
The talented students of Gowanda High School are presenting the comedic play “Bad Auditions by Bad Actors” by Ian McWethy on Friday and Saturday, Nov. 15 and 16 at 7 p.m. in the auditorium at Gowanda High School.
The community is encouraged to attend this one-act play free of charge thanks to the generosity of sponsors Designer Pools, Newell Lawn & Plow, and One Feather Pallet.
A special senior preview is scheduled Wednesday at 1 p.m.
The plot: A director has to cast leads for a community theater production of “Romeo and Juliet.” This simple task proves impossible when the auditions include method actors, performers who don’t know what to do with their hands, and one person who may or may not think she’s a cat.
Cast includes Alyssa Golden, Hayleigh Hooper, Demetra Spire, Isabella DeGolier, Caitlyn Gangi, Willow Kuras, Sydney Smith, Mallory Berndt, Logan Kehr and Danielle Krajewski. Director is Hayley Wilkins and producer is Lisa Sommers with lighting by Bill Peglowski.
