Chautauqua Lake names top students for November
Students of the Month at Chautauqua Lake Central School were honored for November achievements. The student recognition program honors students in grades seven through 12 whose classroom performance, attitude toward learning, work ethic, and extra-curricular activities set them apart.
— Seventh grader Itzayana Quintero is a motivated and spunky student who approaches her work with grit, care, and precision. She actively participates in class, is always prepared, and brings an infectious enthusiasm for learning. Her positive attitude and strong work ethic shine as she consistently shows initiative and stays focused on her goals. Itzy is on top of her work, advocating for herself, asking insightful questions, and embracing the process of making corrections to achieve excellence.
— Eighth-grader Zoey Kling is an exemplary student who actively participates in class, always comes prepared, and maintains a positive attitude. Her strong work ethic and initiative make her a consistent leader among her peers. Zoey fosters a strong learning environment by providing constructive criticism and encouraging others. She balances her academics and athletics with dedication, excelling in both areas. Zoey had an outstanding season on the modified football team and is looking forward to continuing her success in modified wrestling. Her favorite class is Social Studies because she enjoys learning about the history of our country. Inspired by Mrs. Roush, whom she feels comfortable talking to, Zoey sets ambitious goals for herself, including maintaining high grades and winning more than half of her wrestling duals this year.
— Ninth-grader Tristan Gibbs is an exceptional role model both in the classroom and on the field. He consistently demonstrates a positive attitude, strong work ethic, and maturity beyond his years. Always prepared and actively participating in class, Tristan shows initiative and encourages those around him with kindness and motivation. His conscientious approach to learning and leadership make him a standout student who inspires others to do their best.
— Sydney Williams, a 10th-grader, is an exceptional student who consistently demonstrates kindness, inclusivity, and a positive attitude. She frequently invites others into her group, fostering a welcoming and supportive environment for her peers. In class, Sydney is attentive, always prepared, and helps keep the group focused and on task, making the class better for her presence. Her strong work ethic and commitment to academic excellence are evident as she strives to maintain good grades while excelling in her favorite subject, math, and her passion for volleyball. Sydney is a role model who inspires others through her hardworking, kind, and inclusive nature.
— Eleventh-grader Evan Riedesel is a well-rounded young person who actively participates in class and approaches learning with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Always prepared and engaged, he is motivated, respectful, and cooperative, consistently producing high-quality work. Evan enjoys soccer, biking, skiing, and golf, and his favorite class is PLTW Engineering, which he appreciates for the creative freedom it brings to his school day. Inspired by Mr. Reyda, Evan values opportunities for creative thinking and problem-solving over conventional approaches. He is setting a personal goal to improve his organization skills to excel both in school and in sports.
— Cayzlee Johnson, a 12th grader and November Student of the Month, is an exceptional student who actively participates in class, always comes prepared, and demonstrates a remarkable enthusiasm for learning. Her positive attitude and strong work ethic set her apart, as she consistently goes above and beyond expectations. Cayzlee not only takes initiative in her own studies but also encourages and motivates her peers, fostering a collaborative and supportive learning environment. Her favorite class is Human Anatomy, where she appreciates the engaging atmosphere and the connections she shares with her classmates. Outside of the classroom, she enjoys participating in softball and the school musical. She credits Mrs. Janicki for inspiring her to be her best self and for encouraging her to persevere even when faced with struggles.
