CLCS recognizes top students

Students of the Month at Chautauqua Lake Central School have been honored for December and January achievements. The student recognition program honors students in grades seven through 12 whose classroom performance, attitude toward learning, work ethic, and extra-curricular activities set them apart.

— Seventh-grader Mya Cettell is a dedicated and hardworking student who actively participates in class and is always prepared. Her positive attitude and strong work ethic set her apart, as she consistently goes above and beyond expectations. Motivated and perseverant, Mya approaches challenges with determination while remaining friendly, ambitious, and empathetic. She is not only a successful academic but also a kind young lady and a great peer role model.

— Eighth-grader Alice Scarpine sets a positive example for her peers on a daily basis. She actively participates in class, is always prepared, and approaches learning with enthusiasm and a positive attitude. Her strong work ethic and willingness to go above and beyond expectations make her a standout student. A natural leader, Alice motivates and encourages those around her, demonstrating consideration and perseverance in both academics and athletics. Her initiative and dedication make her a valued member of the school community.

— Ninth-grader Lilliana Dunlap has a positive attitude and consistently goes above and beyond expectations. She is polite, respectful, cheerful, friendly, and generous, making her a joy to have in the library. Her good mood is contagious, brightening the atmosphere for those around her. Always willing to lend a hand, she is eager to assist in any way possible, demonstrating kindness and dedication in all she does.

— Anna O’Toole, a 10th-grader, is an outstanding student who consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic, enthusiasm for learning, and a positive attitude. Always prepared and actively engaged, she not only meets expectations but exceeds them, showing initiative and a willingness to go above and beyond. Anna works well with others, encouraging and motivating her peers while maintaining patience and kindness. As a natural leader in group settings, she helps keep her classmates focused and on task, ensuring that assignments are completed efficiently. Her maturity and dedication serve as a model for others, making a lasting impact in the classroom.

— Eleventh-grader Jacob Gilmore, is a dedicated and hardworking student who actively participates in class and consistently demonstrates a strong work ethic. Always prepared and enthusiastic about learning, he approaches each day with a positive attitude and a willingness to take initiative. Focused and responsible, Jacob is not only pleasant, polite, and respectful but also eager to ask questions and seek feedback to deepen his understanding. His commitment to excellence and pride in his work make him a standout student this year.

— Nate Henry, a 12th-grader and December/January Student of the Month, is a dedicated and hardworking student who consistently goes above and beyond expectations. He is always prepared for class, actively participates, and brings an enthusiastic and positive attitude to everything he does. With a strong work ethic and a natural ability to encourage and motivate those around him, Nate sets a high standard for himself and his peers. His intelligence, competitiveness, and sincerity make him a valued member of the classroom. He especially enjoys history and math, finding inspiration from his parents. Outside of school, Nate spends his time hunting, playing video games, and racing.
