Brocton names top March students

BROCTON — Brocton Central School students of the month have been named by faculty and staff.
Brocton Middle School announced that Mara-Lynn Hebner was selected. Mara-Lynn is currently a sixth-grader residing in Stockton with her parents, Alicia Hebner and Josh Hebner. She is a member of the Blizzards softball team. Her hard work and dedication have earned her a place on the Honor Roll this school year.
Mara-Lynn’s favorite subject is Physical Education. In her free time, she enjoys riding horses and practicing softball. In the future, Mara-Lynn dreams of living in a farmhouse on a ranch with her family, many horses, and two big dogs.
Brocton High School announced that Sara Hernandez Cruz was selected.
A sophomore, she is the daughter of Josefa Cruz Gomez and Felix Hernandez of Fredonia. She is an active member of the National Junior Honor Society and has previously contributed her skills as a member of the Westfield Modified Soccer team.
Her passion for art shines through as her favorite subject, and she aspires to work in landscaping and marketing in the future.
In addition to her academic pursuits, Sara is committed to community service and family, assisting in vineyards and serving meals to veterans through her involvement with the National Junior Honor Society.
