Nine join NHS at Gowanda

Nine students joined the ranks of Gowanda Central School District’s chapter of the National Honor Society during an induction ceremony held Feb. 27 in the auditorium. Gowanda High’s Blake Herman, Lily Nuwer, Charlynn Ulmer, Hannah Valentine, Isabelle Graham, Addison Kota, Noah Lauer, Maddison Smith, and Helena Wallschlager were celebrated for their character, scholarship, leadership, and service in front of loved ones and district staff. During the ceremony, each 2025 inductee signed their commitment to NHS and lit a candle prior. The new inductees then recited the NHS pledge as a group led by NHS member Tessa Kohn. Returning members – Molly Bowers, Holland Browning, Gracie Eddy, Caitlyn Gangi, Jillian Gernatt, Tessa Kohn, Danielle Krajewski, Winter Rivera, and Demetra Spire – were announced and recognized by NHS co-adviser Kathryn Haim, who facilitated the ceremony with co-adviser Paula Ondus.
