Ripley man accused of sexual contact with juvenile

SHERMAN –The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Criminal Investigation Division has been investigating a report of sexual abuse in the Town of Sherman from an incident Nov. 2. Following an investigation, deputies allege that Patrick O. How, 20, of Ripley, subjected a juvenile victim to sexual contact. How was charged Thursday with endangering the welfare of a child and will appear in the Town of Sherman Court at a later date.

Angola man charged in spring mischief

SILVER CREEK — An Angola man has been charged in connection with acts of vandalism that took place in the village in late April.

On Thursday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Department announced that after a lengthy probe by the Chautauqua County Criminal Investigation Division, Joshua D. Heimerel, 25 was charged with second-degree criminal mischief. Deputies report Heimerel allegedly used a replica Glock c02 BB gun pistol to shoot and damage the windows located at 2 and 4 Main St. on April 25.

These incidents led to a town hall type meeting at the Village Ballpark at the Pavilion. Sheriff James Quattrone and members of the department, joined by members of the Village Board, were on hand to listen to complaints on some recent incidents of criminal mischief, while creating a plan for solution. arraigned at Centralized Arraignment Program.

Heimerel was arraigned through the Centralized Arraignment Program.

CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

¯ SHERMAN — Two teenagers were injured Wednesday evening after a motor-vehicle accident on Titus Road.

At about 8:36 p.m., Chautauqua County sheriff’s deputies responded to the incident. A 17-year-old male operator was taken by ambulance to UPMC Hamot in Erie, Pa., for his injuries. The 18-year-old female passenger needed to be extricated from the vehicle by fire personnel and was later flown by STAT Medevac for her injuries.

An investigation into this incident is ongoing at this time.

RIPLEY — A Ripley man is accused of criminal mischief.

Deputies allege that Thursday around 8:30 a.m. Dustin Waters, 40, deflated the tires of a vehicle belonging to another person causing an inconvenience to that person. He was charged with fourth-degree criminal mischief and third-degree criminal tampering. He was transported to Chautauqua County Sheriffs Office where he was arraigned.

NEW YORK STATE POLICE

¯ BEMUS POINT — Troopers out of Jamestown charged Joseph Holdridge, 51, of Jamestown, with aggravated driving while intoxicated.

Holdridge was pulled over on Interstate 86 on Tuesday for speeding and after failing several field sobriety tests, Holdridge was placed under arrest. Holdridge was transported to Jamestown where he provided a breath sample of 0.24. Holdridge was then processed, issued tickets and released. Holdridge is scheduled to appear in the town of Ellery Court next month.

¯ BROCTON — New York State Police charged Steven Andrews, 57, of Brocton, with theft of services.

Troopers received a complaint from an employee of the power company that when he arrived at a residence in Brocton to turn the power back on for the winter months, he observed vehicle jumper cables hooked directly to the wires leading from the transformer, thus circumventing the power meter. Witness interviews revealed that Andrews was the suspect. Andrews was placed under arrest Tuesday, processed at Fredonia, and released with an appearance ticket. Andrews is to be in the town of Portland court next month.

¯ KENNEDY — Troopers out of Jamestown charged Alex Duke, 22, of Watauga, Texas, with being a fugitive from justice.

Troopers stopped to check a disabled vehicle on Interstate 86 on Tuesday. An investigation revealed the driver did not have a license and that the passenger, Duke, was wanted by Texas Parole for Possession of methamphetamine. The driver was issued a traffic ticket and Duke was placed under arrest, processed at Jamestown, and transported to the Chautauqua County Jail.
