Mayville man charged after killing bicyclist
A Mayville man was charged in the fall with leaving the scene of a death after he allegedly struck and killed a man in Buffalo.
According to a Buffalo News article, Nicholas Rosado — aka Nicholas Boaz — was arrested Sept. 21 on the felony charge after he allegedly struck and killed bicyclist Theodore Dionne of West Seneca on July 7. The accident was a hit-and-run, according to police.
The article states Rosado was arrested later on July 7 over five misdemeanor charges and multiple traffic violations after allegedly driving his truck into trees about two miles from the accident scene. In that incident, he faces charges of driving while intoxicated, criminal possession of a controlled substance, obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest and leaving the scene of a personal injury accident.

¯ FRENCH CREEK — John L. Johnson, 73, of Mina, was charged with failure to use turn signal, driving while intoxicated and DWI per se. Deputies observed a vehicle commit a traffic violation at 6:34 p.m. Tuesday in the town of French Creek. An investigation found that Johnson was allegedly operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Johnson was processed and released with tickets to appear in court later.
DUNKIRK POLICE DEPARTMENT
¯ Sonia Camacho, 33, of Dunkirk, was arrested Dec. 8 and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal use of drug paraphernalia.
¯ Chastity Martinez-Diaz, 30, of Dunkirk, was arrested Dec. 9 and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and no/insecure/dirty license plate. She was also arrested Tuesday and charged with first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation, improper/no signal, and unlicensed operator.
¯ Phillip Whitfield, 29, of Fredonia, was arrested Tuesday and charged with petit larceny.
