¯ Kaelyn A. Jimerson, 27, of Salamanca, was charged with petit larceny, third-degree burglary and second-degree obstructing governmental administration. Patrol was called at 8:28 p.m. Saturday to Dollar Tree on East Fairmount Avenue for a shoplifting. Jimerson was allegedly seen walking around the parking lot with merchandise in her hands. Jimerson had been issued an appearance ticket from Lakewood-Busti officers for a shoplifting that took place earlier in the day. Jimerson reportedly walked away and hid when confronted. Jimerson reportedly took $63.80 worth of merchandise that was put behind the store. Jimerson was transported to Chautauqua County Jail for centralized arraignment. She was also issued a ticket for petit larceny for taking $40.69 worth of merchandise at Walmart at about 7:20 p.m. Saturday.

SENTENCING

¯ Joel Coleman, 21, of Jamestown, was sentenced Monday by County Court Judge David Foley to a determinate term of six years in state prison with five years of post-release supervision after he was convicted in December 2022 of second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. The conviction was the result of a plea from an incident that occurred in the city of Jamestown in February 2022. The FBI also assisted with the investigation.
