JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Austin T. Schwab, 27, of Sinclairville, was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. Patrol at 7:16 p.m. Friday observed Schwab standing near the intersection of East Fifth and Pine streets. Schwab had an outstanding warrant from the Jamestown Police Department. During a search, Schwab was allegedly located with a quantity of fentanyl. He was held for arraignment in court.
— Kayla M. Wiberg, 31, no address listed, was charged with second- and third-degree assault and resisting arrest. Patrol responded at 3:59 p.m. Friday to a residence on the north side of the city for a reported domestic dispute. An investigation determined that Wiberg allegedly cut another person in the arm with a knife, causing an injury. Additionally, it was determined that Wiberg also threw a glass jar at the victim, causing an injury to the face. Wiberg reportedly fought with officers while being taken into custody before she was eventually taken to Jamestown City Jail. She was held for arraignment in court.
— Timothy J. Perrin, 33, no address listed, was charged with second-degree criminal possession of a weapon. Patrol responded at 6:49 p.m. on April 24 to the west side of the city to assist parole with a check of a residence. It was discovered that Perrin was allegedly in possession of a handgun while being a convicted felon and unable to possess any firearm. Perrin was transported to jail and held for arraignment.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
ARKWRIGHT — A Cassadaga man has been charged after an alleged theft of a snow-plowing stake.
On April 24, deputies responded to Meadow Lark Road for a report of a larceny. After investigation, it is alleged that Robert S. Austin, 77, did take the item that did not belong to him.
He was issued an appearance ticket for petit larceny and will be in town court later.
