CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— NORTH HARMONY — At around 8:21 p.m., the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 474. The operator was identified as Christina W. Hagberg, 42, of Frewsburg. Further investigation found Hagberg to be driving while intoxicated. Hagberg was arrested and charged with DWI, DWI per se, and inadequate or no stop lamps. She will answer her charges later.
— SILVER CREEK — At around 11:30 p.m. Saturday, the Sheriff’s Office and State Police units responded to an address on Angell Road in Silver Creek. An altercation was reported in the area and officers were advised that an intoxicated female was on scene and attempting to operate a motor vehicle.
The vehicle description was given, and a deputy did observe the vehicle on the road travelling on Angell Road.
A traffic stop was conducted, and the female operator was identified as 34-year-old Samantha Coy of Silver Creek. Subsequent investigation into the matter led to Coy’s arrest. She was transported to the Sheriff’s Office Substation on Hanover Road.
She was charged with felony driving while intoxicated and first-degree aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. She is to be in the Town of Hanover Court later.
— At around 11:26 p.m. Friday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 60 in the town of Pomfret. The operator of the vehicle was identified as Anthony V. Rivera, 19, of Jamestown. Further investigation found Rivera to be driving while intoxicated.
He was charged with DWI, resisting arrest, and speed in zone. He will answer for his charges in the Town of Pomfret Court later.
— RIPLEY — At approximately 4 a.m. Friday, the Sheriff’s Office and Westfield Police Department responded to an altercation reported at a residence on Pigeon Road. The residents were interviewed and officers learned that a male subject in the home damaged the property of another. The subject was identified as 31-year-old Ryan M. Deland of Ripley. Deland was charged with third-degree criminal mischief, fourth-degree criminal mischief and endangering the welfare of a child.
He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office and later booked into the county jail to await centralized arraignment.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Eric A. Decker, 41, of Jamestown, was charged with driving while intoxicated and aggravated driving while intoxicated.
At approximately 3:25 a.m. Saturday, officers responded to a south side address for a motor vehicle accident. Upon arrival officers located Decker in the driver’s seat of a vehicle that had just struck a parked car causing substantial damage to both vehicles.
Officers observed Decker showing signs of impairment. Decker was administered field sobriety testing in which Decker had failed. Decker was placed into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail. Decker submitted to a breath test which revealed that Decker has a blood alcohol content more than twice the legal limit. He was released and will answer charges later.
— Abigail C. Quinones, 26, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt.
At around 01:47 a.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to a south side address for the report of a fight. Through investigation it was determined that Quinones was with a subject that has a valid stay away order of protection against her. She was being held pending arraignment in Jamestown City Court.
— Chance J. Boreck, 23, of Jamestown, was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
At around 12:17 a.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to a south side address for the report of a fight.
Through investigation it was determined that Boreck pulled out a knife and threatened to stab a subject in front of his residence. He was being held pending arraignment for Jamestown City Court.
