SHERIFF’S OFFICE
– SHERIDAN – Andrew W. Powers, 35, of Buffalo was charged Wednesday with driving while ability impaired with drugs/alcohol. Powers was stopped on Route 20 around 9:45 p.m. and was allegedly under the influence. He was arrested and transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing. He was later released with traffic tickets to appear in the Town of Sheridan Court at a later date.
– STOCKTON – Ingrid E. Collins, 48, of Stockton was charged Sunday with third-degree assault. It is alleged that around 2:15 a.m. Collins bit another person, causing physical injury, while at a residence on Cassadaga-Stockton Road.
ELLICOTT POLICE
– Michelle L. Wasson, 46 , of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance on Nov. 23 at 7:13 a.m. Ellicott police responded to a well-being check at a Falconer location where it is alleged Wasson was passed out behind the wheel of her vehicle. Officers located Wasson allegedly in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine that was in plain view inside the vehicle. Wasson was charged and processed at the Ellicott Police Department. She will be in court later.
– Andre M. Guzda, 18, and Braxton M. Achterberg, 27, of Lakewood were charged with petit larceny on Nov. 26, at 7 p.m. after officers responded to Runnings at 720 Fairmount Ave., where it is alleged Guzda and Achterberg allegedly brought store merchandise into the men’s restroom and concealed the items inside Guzda’s coat to take them. Guzda and Achterberg were charged and released with appearance tickets to be in Ellicott Town Court later.
– Matthew J. Sedlmayer, 25, of Falconer was charged with second-degree harassment, second-degree criminal contempt and aggravated family offense at 10:05 p.m. Nov. 28 after officers responded to a domestic dispute at the Quality Inn in Falconer where it is alleged Sedlmayer violated his refrain from order of protection. Sedlmayor was charged, processed at the Ellicott Police Department and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
JAMESTOWN POLICE
– Isabelle R. Jackson, 22, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated, DWI per se, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and inadequate tail lights at 3:21 a.m. Sunday after officers pulled over a vehicle on East Eighth Street for equipment violations. Jackson’s driving privileges were allegedly suspended in New York and she was also allegedly intoxicated. Jackson was taken to the Jamestown City Jail and released to a sober party with an appearance ticket to be in Jamestown City Court later.
– Brea Wilkins-Carlson, 33, of Jamestown, and Douglas Puckett, 38, of Jamestown were charged following an incident on the city’s east side at 4:30 a.m. Nov. 30. Wilkins-Carlson was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and Puckett was charged with unlawful imprisonment after officers responded to a a trespass complaint. Wilkins-Carlson allegedly attempted to flee and was seen on the roof after breaking a window. Officers learned Wilkins-Carlson is supposed to stay away from a person that was in the apartment due to a court ordered order of protection. Douglas Puckett was also in the apartment and officers observed him restraining a person, not allowing them to leave. Both were charged and taken to the City Jail until they could be arraigned, The investigation is continuing and police say additional charges are expected.
– Stephanie K. Derby, 44, of Jamestown was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance at 1:44 a.m. Nov. 30 after officers saw her walking on East Fifth Street near Pine Street knowing Derby had outstanding warrants from the Jamestown Police Department. Officers then allegedly found her in possession of methamphetamine. Derby was taken to the Jamestown City Jail where she was held pending arraignment.
– Andre J. Sweeney, 23, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, fourth-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, two counts of second-degree criminal using drug paraphernalia and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon at 9:10 p.m. Nov. 28 after officers reportedly saw Sweeney walking in Brooklyn Square knowing he had outstanding warrants from the Jamestown Police Department. Officers made contact with Sweeney and say a search revealed a quantity of cocaine, fentanyl, cutting agents, a digital scale and plastic knuckles on his person. Sweeney was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
