JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Daric Harris, 56, was charged with fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon and first-degree assault after an incident on Christmas Eve.
Officers responded to a residence on the North Side of the city regarding a domestic dispute around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday. During the investigation, it was determined that Harris had struck another male in the household with a shotgun, resulting in a laceration and a fractured forearm. Harris was taken into custody and was held pending arraignment. The victim received medical attention and was transported to a local hospital.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— ELLERY — A Jamestown woman was injured after an accident Tuesday morning. Deputies report Kahley Klemens, 21, was operating her vehicle on Route 430 at an unreasonable speed when she lost control and overturned around 6 a.m.
She was trapped in the vehicle and assisted in removal by the deputy on scene. She suffered minor injuries and was transported to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment by Maple Springs Fire Department.
