CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– HARMONY – Marcus Wells, 57, of Harmony was charged Saturday with driving while intoxicated and DWI per se. Around 5 p.m. deputies were dispatched to assist with a vehicle fire in the town. Deputies allege that Wells was operating the vehicle while intoxicated prior to the vehicle becoming inoperable and catching on fire. He was additionally charged with stopping/ standing/ parking on a highway and released with appearance tickets to appear in the Town of Harmony Court at a later date.

– POMFRET – Alexander B. Reilly, 41, of Pomfret was charged Saturday night with second-degree criminal contempt and petit larceny. It is alleged that he stole property that belonged to another person and by doing this violated an order of protection. Alexander was arrested and taken to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment. He will appear in the Town of Pomfret at a later date and time.
