CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– NORTH HARMONY – Two people were arrested when deputies attempted to take into custody a person with an outstanding warrant. According to the Sheriff’s Office, on Saturday at around 9:50 a.m., deputies responded to a report of a disturbance on Old Bridge Road. Upon investigation deputies identified Nyren L Graham, 27, of Jamestown who was known to have active bench warrants from the city of Jamestown Court. While in the process of taking Graham into custody, it is alleged that Rachel S Fisher, 25, of Ashville did physically obstruct deputies in an attempt to prevent deputies from performing their duties. Graham was transported to the Jamestown Police Department to be arraigned on the bench warrant. Fisher was issued appearance tickets for second-degree obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest. She will answer to the charges in North Harmony Town Court.

– CHAUTAUQUA – On Monday at about 4:22 a.m. the Chautauqua Fire Department, along with mutual aid, responded to a residential fire on Willow Tree Point in the town. Once the fire was extinguished fire investigators responded to the scene. Following an investigation, it was determined that the fire originated due to compromised electrical heat tape on the exterior of the residence. No injuries were reported.
