SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT
— PANAMA — On Feb. 2 at about 11:56 a.m. deputies were dispatched to the report of animal cruelty which occurred on Niobe Road. After an investigation it was found that Heather Carlson did sell five ducks that were not properly cared for. Two of the five ducks passed away before they could receive medical attention. The three remaining ducks were euthanized due to the condition that they were in.
Carlson was issued an appearance ticket and was to be in the Town of North Harmony Court later.
— HANOVER — At around 8:35 p.m. Saturday, deputies conducted a stop for a traffic violation. Through an investigation it was found that 50-year-old Sirena M. Fuentes of Gowanda was operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Fuentes was charged with being an unlicensed operator, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator, DWI, DWI per se, no stopping, standing, parking on highway and consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle. She will be in town court later.
— ELLERY — Around 5 a.m. Saturday, deputies responded to a report of a vehicle off the road on Route 430. Through an investigation the operator who was identified as Salvador Casares, 46, of Allegany, was found to be intoxicated while driving the vehicle. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office for processing before being released while being charged with moving from lane unsafe, unlicensed operator, DWI and DWI per se.
— MAYVILLE — Gregg Morrison, 47, was issued a ticket at 9 p.m. Saturday to the town of Chautauqua Court after a second-degree harassment charge for allegedly committing acts that alarmed or seriously annoyed another individual.
JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT
— Ramases Zambrana, 54,was charged with aggravated DWI with child in vehicle — Leandra’s Law, DWI, DWI per se, seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and endangering the welfare of a child.
At 1:08 a.m. Saturday, officers conducted a traffic stop in the south side of the city. Through investigation, it was determined that Zambrana, of Springfield, Mass., was operating the vehicle in an intoxicated condition with a 3-year-old child in the vehicle. Zambrana was also found to be in possession of 1.1 gm of fentanyl.
Zambrana was taken into custody and was transported to the City Jail where he was held pending arraignment.
— Brandi M. Howard, 45, of Sinclairville was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
At approximately 8:51 p.m. Friday, officers conducted a traffic stop on East Second near Thayer Street. During the course of the investigation officers determined a passenger in the vehicle, Howard, was in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine. She was taken into custody and during a search, officers located additional methamphetamine and a quantity of cocaine.
— Frankie Colon-Velazquez, 48, was charged with driving while intoxicated, driving while intoxicated per se over 0.08% BAC, third-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and a number of traffic tickets.
At 3:44 a.m. Saturday, officers stopped a vehicle on North Main and West First streets for traffic violations. Officers made contact with the operator, Colon-Velazquez who appeared to be impaired by alcohol. He failed the standard field sobriety tests and was placed into custody without incident. He was later released.
— A pair of city residents are facing drug charges. At 8:58 p.m. Saturday, officers conducted a traffic stop on Barrett Avenue near Cowden Place for an observed moving violation. During the course of the investigation officers determined that Jarried M. Dean, 32 and Krystal S. Hintz, 41, were in possession of a quantity of methamphetamine.
Once taken into custody officers located an additional 4.0 grams of methamphetamine and 4.9 grams of fentanyl that had been concealed on Dean. Hintz was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and received multiple traffic tickets. Hintz was booked and released on an appearance ticket. Dean was charged with fourth- and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and held pending arraignment.
— Mariah Jackson, 28, of Jamestown was charged with two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. At 1 a.m. Sunday, officers conducted a traffic stop on West Sixth near Clinton Street after an observed traffic infraction. It was discovered during the traffic stop that Jackson was in possession of a quantity of cocaine. She was placed into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident. While in the jail, it was further discovered that Mariah had burnt tin foil, containing a small quantity of Fentanyl. She was later released.
— Bruce J. Miles, 36, of Jamestown was charged with second-degree criminal contempt and third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance. At approximately 3:40 a.m., officers responded to a northside address for a domestic dispute. Upon arrival officers could hear two individuals yelling and arguing.
Through an investigation officers learned there was an order of protection between Miles and a female victim. Officers were able to determine that Miles was violating the order. Officers were able to gain access to the apartment.
Once inside officers located Miles and the victim. Once in custody officers located a large quantity of Buprenorphine and Naloxone films and tablets on Miles. He was held pending arraignment.
