JAMESTOWN POLICE
— Two city residents face charges after a search warrant was executed on Newland Avenue on Thursday. Around 9:25 a.m., the Jamestown Metro Drug Task Force and Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigators executed a search warrant at 1254 Newland Ave. Crystal M. Vogt, Ulus C. Battle III and three other individuals were located inside the residence. Detectives searched the residence and located a quantity of cocaine, digital scales, cutting agents, packaging materials and a quantity of US Currency. Vogt was charged with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and three counts of second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia. Battle III was charged with second-degree criminal contempt for allegedly violating an order of protection with Vogt. The Jamestown Police Department was assisted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office. — Mark R. Burch Jr., 32, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree burglary, fourth-degree criminal mischief, possession of burglar tools and resisting arrest at 1:12 a.m. Friday after police responded to a reported burglary on the city’s west side. Officers arrived at the scene and heard movement inside the building. Shortly after, a man fled through a rear door but was quickly caught by officers outside the building. Burch was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
— Heather M. Brown, 33, of Ashville was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, five counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and second-degree criminally using drug paraphernalia after a traffic stop at 10:20 p.m. Wednesday near Liberty and East Eighth streets. Police report seeing drug paraphernalia inside the vehicle, with officers finding cocaine, fentanyl, hydrocodone pills, oxycodone pills, clonazepam and 6.2 grams of methamphetamine along with cutting agents during a search. Brown was charged and taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.
CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE
SHERIDAN – Luis M. Rivera-Torres, 33, of Dunkirk was charged Friday with driving while intoxicated common law, DWI per se, unlicensed operator, consumption of alcohol in a motor vehicle and speeding following a traffic stop on Route 20 in the town for an observed infraction. He was transported to the Sheriff’s Office substation in Pomfret for processing. He was later released with tickets to appear in the Town of Sheridan Court.
