CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S DEPARTMENT

— SHERMAN — Shortly after midnight Sunday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office conducted a traffic stop on Route 430 in the village. The operator was identified as Seth Troyer. Further investigation found Troyer, 20, of Corry to be operating the vehicle while intoxicated. Troyer was charged with driving while intoxicated, aggravated driving while intoxicated (BAC 0.18% or higher) and littering on a highway. He will answer for his charges at the Village Court on a later date and time.

— WESTFIELD — At 5:14 p.m. Saturday, the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office responded to an address in the town for a domestic dispute. Through an investigation it was discovered that 36-year-old Adam Warner did intentionally place another person in fear of serious physical injury by displaying a knife. Warner also destroyed property of another. He was charged with second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal mischief. He was then transported to county jail for arraignment.

JAMESTOWN POLICE DEPARTMENT

— Jacob B. Perry, 18, of Jamestown is facing a petit larceny charge.

At approximately 6:20 p.m. Saturday, officers responded to a shoplifting in-progress at the Tops Market located on Washington Street. Upon arrival, the store employees had already detained Perry for the theft of alcohol. He was subsequently placed into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail without incident. Jacob was booked and released with an appearance ticket in accordance with NYS bail reform.

— Zachary A. Graves, 29, of Jamestown was charged with third-deree unlawful fleeing a police officer in a motor vehicle, second-degree obstructing governmental administration, resisting arrest, two counts of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, reckless driving, second-degree aggravated unlicensed operator and 26 total vehicle and traffic law infractions.

At about 8 p.m. Friday, officers observed a tan Dodge caravan commit moving violations in the northside of the city. An officer attempted to perform a traffic stop when the operator of the vehicle failed to comply.

A vehicle pursuit occurred throughout the city and then into the Town of Ellicott. The pursuit ended as the operator of the vehicle crashed the vehicle into a gate on a private property and the operator exited the vehicle and took off on foot.

A brief foot pursuit then occurred until Graves was taken into custody. Once Graves was in custody, officers conducted an inventory search of Graves and he was found to be in possession of 1.0 gram of crack cocaine and 0.1 gram of fentanyl. City officers were assisted by State Police and Town of Ellicott Police during the pursuit.

– Nathan M Sharp, 31, of Jamestown was charged with driving while intoxicated/ driving while intoxicated per se over 0.08% BAC, and traffic tickets.

At 2:42 a.m. Saturday, officers stopped a vehicle at Washington and West 18th streets for a violation. Through investigation it was found that Sharp had been operating the motor vehicle in an intoxicated state. He was taken into custody and transported to the Jamestown City Jail and was released shortly after on traffic tickets to be in city court later.
