CHAUTAUQUA COUNTY SHERIFF’S OFFICE

– POLAND – Scott Martin, 30, of Kennedy was charged Monday at 11:55 a.m. with first-degree criminal contempt, fourth-degree criminal mischief, two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, attempted forcible touching, second-degree harassment, second-degree obstruction of government administration and resisting arrest.

It is alleged that Martin had made unwanted physical contact with another individual on Dogwood Street in the town of Poland, preventing that person from calling emergency services in front of children. It was also alleged that Martin attempted to forcibly touch another person. Upon contact with law enforcement, Martin allegedly resisted arrest.

He was taken into custody and transported to the county jail for processing.

JAMESTOWN POLICE

– Robert G. Gilbert, 24, of Jamestown was charged with resisting arrest after a warrant check at 6:39 p.m. Monday on the south side of Jamestown. According to a police report, officers accompanied by Chautauqua County Probation conducted a warrant check and found Gilbert inside the home. Gilbert had several outstanding warrants through the Jamestown Police Department and was allegedly an absconder from Chautauqua County Probation. Officers gave Gilbert numerous opportunities to exit the residence before forcing entry into a room where Gilbert had barricaded himself. Gilbert was taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Tyler J. Cahill of Jamestown was charged with second-degree menacing after officers responded to a neighbor dispute at 6:30 p.m. Monday on the city’s south side. During the incident, officers were told Cahill had allegedly threatened his neighbor with a screwdriver. Cahill was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.

– Autumn R. Kahm, 26, of Jamestown was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and resisting arrest after a warrant check by city police officers and the Chautauqua County Probation Department at 8:46 p.m. Monday on the city’s south side. Officers found Kahm inside the residence. She allegedly had an outstanding warrant for her arrest issued by the City of Jamestown. Kahm allegedly resisted officers’ commands when she was advised of the warrant, however she was taken into custody after a brief struggle. Officers later found Kahm allegedly in possession of 13.5 grams of methamphetamine. Kahm was taken to the city jail until she could be arraigned.

– Robert E. Ormsby, 50, of Jamestown was charged with four counts of endangering the welfare of a child and fourth-degree criminal mischief at 9:48 p.m. Monday after officers responded to a domestic incident on the north side. Ormsby had allegedly become disorderly and took away a person’s phone while they were attempting to call 911. Ormsby also allegedly made multiple alarming comments to four children who were present during the incident. Ormsby was charged and taken to the city jail until he could be arraigned.
