Planning Board meets Tuesday

MAYVILLE — The Chautauqua County Planning Board’s monthly meeting will be at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 6. The meeting will be in Room 331 of the Mayville Gerace Office Building, 3 N. Erie St.

Ellington church to

celebrate anniversary

ELLINGTON — Ellington Community Church is celebrating its 196th anniversary at 10 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 4. There will be special music by Tim Stahlman and 80 years of church memories shared by Lucile Frost. Lunch will follow the service.

Hanover town taxes due

SILVER CREEK — Property owners are reminded that Tuesday is the last day to pay 2024 county/town taxes penalty free. Hanover Town Clerk, Elizabeth VanCheri reminds taxpayers that taxes can be paid at the Town Clerk’s Office, 68 Hanover St., during normal business hours. There is also a drop box for payments located on the outside of the building. Beginning Wednesday, Feb. 7 to 29, a 1% penalty will be added to the bill. Payments made from March 1 to April 1, will have a 2% penalty assessed.

Town Board plans special meeting Feb. 7

DAYTON — Dayton Town Board will hold a special meeting at the Dayton Town Hall, 9100 Route 62 at 6 p.m. Feb. 7 to discuss the drafting of a Local Law, which will amend the regulating of Solar Energy Systems.
