Fredonia Ukulele gathers Saturday

Fredonia Ukulele will take place from 5 to 7 p.m. Saturday at Domus Fare Restaurant, 41 W. Main St., Fredonia. Please note the time change! Play immediately (all ability levels); no experience necessary. We’re all about making music as a community. The goal is to have fun and to make music. Ukuleles provided or bring your own. Play, sing, or just enjoy listening. Come and go as you please.

Bills Boosters gather for Colts game

The Southern Tier Bills Booster Club will watch the Buffalo Bills vs. Indianapolis Colts game on Sunday at the First Ward Falcon Club in Dunkirk. Barbecued hamburgers will be provided at halftime. Members may bring a dish to pass. Game time is 1 p.m. In addition, the remainder of the Bills season games will be viewed at the First Ward Falcon Club.

Congregation meets on Sunday

The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua (UUCNC), located at 222 Temple Street in Fredonia, holds a Sunday Worship Service at 11 a.m., both at their physical location and on Zoom. For those wishing to join us virtually, please visit https://tinyurl.com/caluucnc.

For those attending the in-person service, please follow the driveway and park in the lower lot behind the building. Handicapped parking is located between the two buildings and directly behind the second building.

The theme for November is Repair. On Sunday, “Fix or Repair Daily,” with the Rev. Ron Skowronski will be presented.

In a world that metaphorically resembles a hand grenade exploding in a barrel of oatmeal…How do we maintain a sense of balance and order in our lives? In this reflection, our minister will share some thoughts on emotional and spiritual restoration, even in the most challenging of circumstances. Helpful advice will come from Jewish, Buddhist, and UU sources.

Fred Basket announces times open

On Saturday, Nov. 16, Fred Basket previously known as The Fredonia Food Pantry will be open from 10 a.m. to noon at Fredonia Presbyterian Church at 219 Central Ave. Additionally, Wednesdays from 1 to 3 p.m. and Thursdays 4:30 to 6:30 p.m.

Guests may only receive one helping a month. These new hours hope to serve those who cannot attend on Saturdays the food pantry serves the needs of residents of Fredonia, area code 14063, Pomfret, Sheridan, and Laona. All guests receive one or more bags of non-perishable food. Number of bags given out depends on family size.

Sons of Revolution meet Saturday

STOCKTON — The Sons of the American Revolution, Chautauqua Chapter, will be meeting at the Stockton Hotel at 12:30 p.m. this Saturday. Topics of discussion will be the recent Patriot Marker ceremonies, and the upcoming 200th Anniversary visit of the Marquis de Lafayette to our area.
