Sunday breakfast set for Fredonia
Forest Lodge 166 F&AM will be holding its monthly Sunday Family Breakfast this weekend from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the lodge on Route 20. This all-you-can-eat breakfast will consist of eggs made to order, pancakes or French toast, sausages, fruit cocktail, juice, milk, coffee and tea.
Adults and teenagers 13 and up $12; children, 5 to 12, $6; and youth under 5 are free. This breakfast is open to the public, and everyone is welcome and cordially invited to attend. Anyone with interests in, or has questions about FreeMasonry will be given a tour of the building at the asking.
Poetry, prose event set for Monday
SINCLAIRVILLE — Join John Brantingham at the Sinclairville Free Library for a generative poetry and prose workshop at 5 p.m. Monday with mood music provided by guitarist Rico Garfalo followed by an open mic reading at 6. In the generative workshop, you will produce at least one piece of poetry or fiction. Later, we will have a reading of your work. Read what you wrote at the workshop or anything else. Attend both or one of the sessions, but join in for inspiration and fun.
Laona church plans pie sale
LAONA — The Laona Community Church will sponsor a Pie Sale on Saturday, Nov. 23 from 1 until 4 p.m. or until sold out. There will be a variety of homemade pies available to be sold as whole pies or enjoy a slice of pie with a beverage, served in the fellowship hall.
Also, browse our Christmas Store featuring brand new and “like new” items. All funds raised will go towards supporting the church’s mission.

Church plans Christmas fest, market
Fredonia Presbyterian Church at 219 Central Ave. will host a Christmas Festival and Market. There is no charge to browse through the display of 300 nativities, listen to live music, and enjoy cookies and a beverage. Fair trade and craft items will be available for purchase.
The event is Friday, Dec. 6 from 3:30 to 6 p.m., Saturday, Dec. 7, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and Sunday, Dec. 8, from noon to 1 p.m.
Genealogical Society meets Wednesday
CASSADAGA — The Chautauqua County Genealogical Society will meet at the Cassadaga American Legion at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday. A brief meeting will be held for the election of new officers. Following the election the annual holiday get together will be held for members and guests. Pizza and soft drinks will be furnished. This is a potluck meal. Members are asked to bring a Holiday dish pass or other treat to share with the attendees. Attendees are also encouraged to bring in a short family history story, family artifact or heirloom or old pictures to share.
