Boosters gather

for Lions contest

The Southern Tier Bills Boosters Club will watch the Buffalo Bills vs. Detroit Lions game on Sunday at the First Ward Falcon Club in Dunkirk. Hot dogs will be provided and members may bring a food item to pass but it is not required.Game time is 4:25 p.m.

Fredonia Ukulele

set for Saturday

Fredonia Ukulele will gather Saturday at Domus Fare Restaurant, 41 W. Main St., Fredonia, from 5 to 7 p.m. Play immediately (all ability levels) as no experience is necessary. We’re all about making music as a community. The goal is to have fun and to make music. Ukuleles provided or bring your own. Play, sing, or just enjoy listening. Come and go as you please.

Fredonia student part of Christmas performance

Belmont University’s Collin Lacki, a Fredonia student, will be among more than 600 student musicians and vocalists to perform in the beloved annual concert tradition, “Christmas at Belmont: Live from Nashville.”

Beginning today at 8 p.m., this popular holiday spectacular will stream to a global audience on Prime Video and the Amazon Music channel on Twitch. This year marks the first time the event has been available on a global streaming platform. For more information, visit belmont.edu/christmas.

Rural Ministry

bookshop hours listed

The Chautauqua County Rural Ministry Bookshop is open Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. and every first Saturday of the month. A bag of books is $3.

Sinclairville Free Library is planning these upcoming events:

“Neighborhood Nature with Corinne Kelly” on Wednesdays — today and Dec. 18 — at 4 p.m. CVCS Science Teacher, Corinne Kelly, will be your guide for a fun, hands-on program that encourages kids to explore and connect with the plants, animals, and ecosystems right in their own backyards. Earn badges and become a certified “Nature Neighbor.” For ages 7 and up. Registration Requested.

“A Night with the Martz-Kohl Observatory” on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. Learn to use our telescope. Learn about the observatory and programs they offer. And, of course, Look at the Stars!!! The Marshal Martz Memorial Astronomical Association, Inc. donated this telescope to our library. This event will be rescheduled if rain/snow is expected. Program is for school aged children to adults.

“Generative Poetry and Prose Workshop with John Brantingham” on Monday at 5 p.m. with mood music provided by local guitarist, Rico Garfalo. Workshop will be followed by an Open Mic Reading at 6 p.m. In the workshop, participants will create at least one piece of poetry or fiction and are free to share during Open Mic. Attend one or both of the sessions, but please join in for inspiration and fun!
