Dunkirk cancels parade

The Dunkirk Holiday Parade, which was rescheduled for today, has been canceled due to the snowstorm on Wednesday and Thursday.

Westfield Christmas Eve service announced

WESTFIELD — A communitywide Noel Candlelight Christmas Eve service will be at Lighthouse Christian Fellowship, 12 English St., Tuesday, Dec. 24 at 11 p.m. Come welcome in Christmas and celebrate the birth of Jesus.

Symbolically beginning in darkness, the candlelight service focuses on the Light of the world coming to save and redeem! All are welcome to come and witness Christmas through scripture, song, dance and handbells.

Featuring Westfield area youth and adults since December 1999, the annual service is organized and directed by Kent and Nannette Knappenberger. In past years, the more than 40 youth and adult member choir participants have represented as many as 13 different churches. The offerings from the evening’s service will go to the Westfield Ministerial Association and will benefit the community.

Sons of Revolution meet Saturday

STOCKTON — The Chautauqua County Chapter of the Sons of the American Revolution will meet for a fellowship meal on Saturday at the Stockton Hotel. The group will order from the menu. Members and guests are welcome, DAR members are always welcome also.

SCOPE meeting set for Tuesday
