Weekly Bingo in Cassadaga
CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga American Legion on Maple Avenue has weekly Bingo every Tuesday at 1 p.m. The public is welcome.
Coffee club meets on Jan. 10
The Roblin Steel Coffee club will be gathering at Demetri’s Restaurant, Dunkirk, at 9 a.m. Friday, Jan. 10. All former employees, family, friends are always invited to attend.
Chicken barbecue planned for Jan. 12
SILVER CREEK — Enjoy a Chiavetta’s chicken barbecue dinner in January and support the Silver Creek Kiwanis! A Chiavetta’s Chicken BBQ Dinner on Sunday, Jan. 12 from noon to 2 p.m. in the Village Square.
Pick-up and car-side delivery only. Meals are $15 each. Call or text Kelly at 698-2934 to pre-purchase tickets as the club sells out each year.
Bills Boosters gather Sunday
The Southern Tier Bills Booster Club will watch the Buffalo Bills vs. New England Patriots game on Sunday at the First Ward Falcon Club in Dunkirk. Members may bring a food item to pass. Game time is 1 p.m.
Library plans annual meeting
SILVER CREEK — The Anderson-Lee Library will hold its annual meeting at 8 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 27. The meeting will be held at the Library, which is located at 43 Main St. The public is invited to attend.
CVCS sets board meeting
CASSADAGA — The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Education of the Cassadaga Valley Central School District will be Wednesday at 6 p.m. in the Middle/High School Multi-Purpose Room. A budget workshop will be held prior to the meeting beginning at 5 p.m.
Registration open for adult fitness classes in Gowanda
GOWANDA – Looking to get a jump start on your New Year’s resolutions? Seeking ways to stay active and beat the cold-weather boredom and blues?
The Adult & Community Education division of Gowanda Central School District is here to help! Its spring 2025 slate of offerings open to area residents aged 18 and up (and also not currently enrolled as a student at GCS) includes Zumba fitness, circuit training and yoga.
Online registration is open; classes kick off in January and February.

— Circuit training with instructor Steve Maines is scheduled January 6 to May 31, 2025. Classes meet Monday & Wednesday from 5-6 p.m. and Saturday from 8-9 a.m in the weight room at Gowanda High School on Prospect Street.
— All-level yoga with instructor Caroline North runs from January 14 to March 11, 2025. A minimum of eight participants needed for this class. Classes meet Tuesdays at 5:30 p.m. in the gym at Gowanda Elementary School on Aldrich Street. Dates: January 14, 21, 28; February 4, 11, 25; and March 4, 11, 2025. Materials needed: Yoga or exercise mat.
— Zumba Fitness with instructor Erin Ranic runs from February 5 through April 9, 2025. Classes meet Wednesdays from 6-7 p.m. in the gym at Gowanda Elementary School on Aldrich Street. Dates: February 5, 12, 26; March 5, 12, 19, 26; and April 2, 9, 2025.

Lakeshore Humane Society sets monthly meeting
