Steel retirees gather Saturday

The Al Tech, Dunkirk Specialty Steel retirees will meet Saturday at 8:30 a.m., at Demitri’s Restaurant, Lake Shore Drive West in Dunkirk. All retirees are welcome to attend.

Pre-K, kindergarten

registration nears in Brocton

BROCTON — Brocton Elementary School will issue registration packets for students eligible for the universal Pre-K and Kindergarten classes for the 2025-26 school year starting Monday. Along with the completed packets, a copy of a birth certificate, documented immunization records, and proof of residency are required.

To be eligible for Pre-K children must turn 4 on or before Dec. 1. To be eligible for kindergarten, children must turn 5 on or before Dec. 1. Please call the Elementary Office at (716) 792-2100 to request a registration packet.

Planning Board to meet Feb. 4

The Chautauqua County Planning Board’s monthly meeting will be at 4 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 4. The meeting will be held at the Dunkirk Fire Murphy Training Grounds at 665 Brigham Road, Dunkirk.
