Library to be open on holiday

SINCLAIRVILLE — The Sinclairville Free Library is pleased to announce that it will be open on Monday, Presidents’ Day. The library will be open regular hours from 2 to 7 p.m.

Makerspace featuring LEGOs, marble runs and crafting will be open. Miss Jessica will also have out the LEGO STEM Box where whatever you build is yours to keep. All activities will be available from 2 to 6:30 p.m. Parent and caregiver must stay with child. Free and open to the public. Sheridan Dems seeking candidates

SHERIDAN — The Town of Sheridan Democratic Committee is seeking interested potential candidates to run for local offices in the upcoming November election.

The positions in town government that will appear on the 2025 ballot are supervisor, clerk, two council seats, highway superintendent and justice. If you are a resident of the Town of Sheridan and would like an opportunity to be involved in decisions affecting your neighbors and yourself, you still have some time to get your name in the running. Auxiliary launches membership drive

WESTFIELD — The Westfield Memorial Hospital Auxiliary is launching its 2025 membership drive. The Auxiliary works to provide Westfield Memorial Hospital with funding to support equipment and services.

Those who have received a new membership card can mail it back. Those who want to become a new member can contact any Auxiliary board member.

The Auxiliary’s 2024 projects included: Christmas decorations throughout the Hospital; blood pressure screenings; new flooring in the physical therapy gym; new shed for buildings and grounds equipment; wheelchair accessible scale for physical therapy department; new chairs for waiting rooms and funds for hospital landscaping. Financing for the above projects was made possible by community support of the following projects: annual Membership Drive; SHRED-IT event; raffle tickets for dining at local restaurants; Christmas in the Village raffle basket; raffle tickets for Lottery Tree and sales of ornaments, mugs and magnets.
