Tea event is rescheduled
Trinity Episcopal Church Women canceled its planned Epiphany Tea last Sunday due to weather concerns.
This event has been rescheduled for March 16 in Garland Hall behind the church at 11 Day St. It will be renamed Mid Lenten Tea. Guest speakers will be Dr Ted Lee , distinguished teaching professor SUNY Fredonia Biology Dept. and Mission participant Jake Wilkins. They will be sharing the most recent trip to Honduras during which they helped to provide medical care in remote areas and continued to monitor water concerns established on previous trips.
Cup of Kindness Cafe planned
The Unitarian Universalist Congregation of Northern Chautauqua will hold a Cup of Kindness Café on the first and third Fridays each month from 7 to 10 p.m. at their meeting house, located at 222 Temple St. in Fredonia. All are welcome to enjoy free coffee, snacks, and friendly conversation during our time together.
A special shout out to university students, LGBT+ individuals, and anyone who just wants a safe and welcoming place to be themselves.
A freewill offering will be gratefully accepted but is not required. On Friday, David Salley will conduct a discussion group on learning American Sign Language. We will go over the alphabet, counting money, telling time, and family relationships.
For parking, please follow the driveway and park in the lower lot behind the building. Handicapped parking is located directly behind the second building. Please note that there is no street parking available on that part of Temple Street.

Safe boating class is March 1
The United States Coast Guard Auxiliary Flotilla 34 will teach a safe boating class via zoom on Saturday March 1. This is an eight-hour class and starts at 9 a.m.
All powerboaters need a safe boating course this year in New York state. This course is recognized and approved by the state to meet this requirement. The class fee is $35.
