Indoor yard sale
set for Saturday
GOWANDA — On Saturday, the Slovenian Club will hold an Indoor Yard Sale and Basket Raffle from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Club located at 36 Palmer St. A variety will be available including Sterling Silver and costume Jewelry, house plants, guy stuff, homemade chocolate goodies, antiques, marbles and miscellaneous along with refreshments and lunch. Proceeds from this event will benefit the Club’s Community Service projects.
Fredonia plans brush
pick up next week
The village of Fredonia will be picking up limbs and yard waste beginning Monday, April 7 at 7 a.m. Collection will continue until every village street has been completed. Bags and brush are collected separately by different crews. All items for collection must be at the curb no later than 7 a.m. April 7. In no case will there be a repeat collection of areas completed.
All yard waste must be bagged or in barrels. The village encourages biodegradable bags or barrels and all limbs and brush must be tied with twine.
Limbs and brush must be cut no longer than 4 feet in length with bundles being no larger than 18 inches in diameter. Bundles and bags are limited to 65 pounds in weight. There is no collection of loose material. No loose leaves will be picked up.
Residents are reminded that they can bring yard waste to 176 Eagle St. No bags or containers shall be left behind.
Valley Historical Society plans maple sugar party
SINCLAIRVILLE — The Valley Historical Society will hold its annual maple sugar party on Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the Charlotte Center Methodist Church. All those attending are asked to bring a bowl and spoon to stir the warm maple syrup until it becomes a thick maple sugar candy. All will be given a bowlful of warm maple syrup. Crackers and pickles to take away the sweetness will be provided. Everyone is invited.
