50th class reunion being planned
The Fredonia High School Class of 1975 will be holding their 50th reunion beginning on Friday, July 11 until Sunday, July 13.
The activities will begin with golf at Shorewood Country Club. Then on Friday night we will be at Coughlan’s Pub. It begins at 6 p.m. with a Happy Hour featuring local fare appetizers and a cash bar. There will be a separate area under a tent in the rear of the bar for our privacy. The band Pegasus, featuring classmates Sandy Rotunda and Steve Castle, will be performing for the first time in 48 years. The cost is $20 per person and $35 per couple.
On Saturday night there will be dinner beginning at 6 p.m. at Shorewood Country Club. It includes a fantastic menu that features various stations for appetizers, pasta, carving station, dessert and a cash bar. The cost will be $75 per person.
On Sunday morning there will be a goodbye breakfast at The White Inn.

CVCS board meets Wednesday
The regular monthly meeting of the Board of Education of the Cassadaga Valley Central School District will be held on Wednesday at 6 p.m. A facilities workshop will be at 4 p.m. with a budget workshop at 5 p.m. All meetings will be held in the Middle/High School Multi-Purpose Room and via Zoom https://zoom.us/j/95237387537.
Roblin Coffee club to gather
Roblin Steel Coffee club will be gathering at Dimitri’s Restaurant, Dunkirk, at 9 a.m. Friday. All former employees, family and friends are always invited to attend.
Legion auxiliary meets Tuesday
CASSADAGA — The Cassadaga Legion Auxiliary will be holding its April meeting on Tuesday at 6:30 p.m. in the Legion Hall. All members are encouraged to attend.
County Legion Auxiliary meets Thursday
The Chautauqua County American Legion Auxiliary meeting will be hosted by Dunkirk Memorial Unit 62, 211 Central Ave., on Thursday. This is a joint meeting with the Legion and SAL beginning with dessert at 6:30 p.m., followed by the meeting at 7 p.m. Unit 62 members interested in donating desserts may contact ransom.dawn@yahoo.com
The county reporting deadline is April 10 for county chairs to send to their respective Department Chairs.
Poppy judging will be held, and participating Units should bring entries to this meeting.
Death notices for auxiliary members who have passed since last May, must be sent to County Chaplain Lucinda to be remembered at the 2025 Memorial Service.
Election of 2026 County Officers is approaching; members are encouraged to consider serving.
Save the date for the 8th District Auxiliary Spring Conference on Sunday, May 4 at the Bliss Event Center in Bliss. Units are requested to donate items for the annual basket raffle.
