A crash involving a tanker truck has closed a portion of Route 60 this morning in the town of Pomfret.

Firefighters from Fredonia and Cassadaga were alerted around 10:15 a.m. to the two-vehicle crash. Both vehicles involved appear to have sustained significant damage, with a van coming to rest on its side.

A portion of Route 60, between Webster and Straight roads, has been closed to traffic. The county’s Fire Police Team were called for traffic control.

The New York State Police is investigating the collision.
