The tornado threat that was evident before noon Wednesday has diminished in Chautauqua County, according to the National Weather Service, and the warning was canceled.

One Facebook post from Forestville indicated wind damage on Prospect Road near Bradigan Road. The pictures showed downed trees and some debris.

However, damaging winds remain likely and a Severe Thunderstorm Warning remains in effect for the area. A Tornado Watch remains in effect until 9 p.m. for Western New York and Warren County, Pa. To report severe weather, contact your nearest law enforcement agency. They will relay your report to the National Weather Service.

In addition, Dunkirk’s Music at the Point tonight is being rescheduled to Sept. 4 due to the weather.
