Dunkirk man injured in snowmobile crash
STOCKTON – An adult male is recovering following a snowmobile accident.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office, on Thursday around 11:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to a reported snowmobile accident with personal injury in the area of Munger Road in Stockton. Investigation found that a single operator of a snowmobile was traveling north toward Munger Road in a wooded area when he lost control of his snowmobile resulting in the accident.
The operator, who was described as a 38-year-old male from Dunkirk, was then transported to UPMC Hamot with non-life threatening injuries. The Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Chautauqua County EMS, North Lake Fire Department, and Stockton Fire Department.
