Northwest Bank names Swanson Vice President
JAMESTOWN — Steven Swanson has been named vice president, Commercial Lending, of Northwest Bank. Eric Spriegel, senior vice president, Commercial Lending, made the announcement.
In his role, Mr. Swanson will be responsible for managing the banking and lending relationships for business customers in Chautauqua and Cattaraugus counties. He’ll also be responsible for business development, extending client relationships and serving business customers overall banking needs. He’ll be located at the Northwest office at 1 West Third Street in Jamestown.
He comes to Northwest with almost twenty years of experience in banking and financial services, most recently as a vice president and senior commercial lender for Five Star Bank in Lakewood. Prior to that, he served as vice president and senior business relationship manager for HSBC Bank.
Mr. Swanson as a graduate of SUNY Fredonia, Magna Cum Laude, with his bachelor’s degree in in quantitative economic analysis. He also has his associate’s degree in social sciences and economics from Jamestown Community College.
A lifelong resident of Chautauqua County, Mr. Swanson gives his time to his community by serving on several boards and committees, including the loan committee for the County of Chautauqua Industrial Development Agency, board of directors for Moonbrook Country Club, vice president of the Falconer Library board, assistant treasurer and at-large board member for Jamestown CMA church and honorary social member of the Kennedy Volunteer Fire Department. He is also a member of the Chautauqua County Chamber of Commerce, the Falconer Moose Club, Elks Lodge #2063, the Community Foundation and a graduate of the Chautauqua Leadership Network.
Mr. Swanson is the son of Steven J. Swanson of Falconer. He lives in Kennedy with his wife, Dawn. They have three children, Janie, Laura and Elizabeth.
