Drugs seized, three charged following morning raid
A months-long investigation regarding the alleged sales of crack cocaine, heroin and marijuana from a city of Dunkirk residence netted three people charges Tuesday morning.
The arrests of 40-year-old Leovijildo R. Lorenzo, 44-year-old Angela Rak and a juvenile were announced by the Dunkirk Police Department.
Detectives and agents from the Southern Tier Regional Drug Task Force conducted surveillance at 69 E. Sixth St. in the city. A search warrant for the property was executed around 5 a.m. on Tuesday and included Dunkirk police, the county’s SWAT team, task force members and a K-9 unit from Jamestown.
“A quantity of of marijuana, cocaine, heroin and cash were located and seized,” Dunkirk police said in a news release.
Lorenzo, Rak and the juvenile were each facing charges of second-degree criminal nuisance and two counts of third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
