E2CCB to host Summer Enrichment program

Erie 2-Chautauqua-Cattaraugus BOCES is hosting its second annual Summer Enrichment program.

The inaugural event held last year at the Ormsby Educational Center has expanded to bring this opportunity to students neighboring the Carrier Educational Center in Angola.

“We wanted to expand and build upon the foundation we laid last year when we hosted the Summer Enrichment Program,” said David Bogner, Ormsby Educational Center principal. “This year, we’re able to bring new and exciting programs to middle school students in the Angola area.”

The Summer Enrichment program is a weeklong event running Monday, July 17 through Friday, July 21 from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.

This year, students who attend the Ormsby Educational Center will rotate between Pre-Engineering Design & Drafting, Culinary Arts, and Animal Science programs. Each program is geared toward students entering 6-9 grade and includes a number of interactive projects, hands-on activities, and new learning experiences.

Students who attend the Carrier Educational Center can choose between three of four options, including Information Technology, Animal Science, Cosmetology, and Health Careers Exploration.

Families can register by visiting e2ccb.org/summerenrichment with payment of $95 due to the attending center prior to the first day of programming.

This program is made in possible in part thanks to grant funding provided by the Ralph C. Wilson, Jr. Foundation, and secured by the E2CCB Educational Foundation.

For site-specific information, please reach out to Dave Bogner, Ormsby principal, at dbogner@e2ccb.org or Stephen Ruszczyk, Carrier principal, at sruszczyk@e2ccb.org.

Starting at $2.99/week.
