ELLICOTT POLICE

– A 17-year-old youth was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon Tuesday after police officers responded to a report of a suspicious situation at Falconer Central School. The youth allegedly had an Airsoft gun on school grounds. The youth was found and turned the Airsoft gun over to police. Police report the Airsoft gun was not used, nor was it taken inside the school building. The youth will be in Ellicott Town Court later. Airsoft is a recreational sport started in the 1970s with games run similar to paintball. Airsoft guns project plastic bbs.

– Andrew S. Vanguilder, 36, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny at 8 p.m. Tuesday after police responded to a shoplifting incident. It’s alleged Vanguilder concealed merchandise in his coat and left the store without paying. Vanguilder was released on his own recognizance and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Michele M. Frantz, 41, of Ellicott was charged with two counts of second-degree harassment, endangering the welfare of a child and resisting arrest Nov. 6 at 10 p.m. after police officers responded to a reported domestic disturbance. It’s alleged Frantz had slapped and shoved residents inside the home while children were present. Police report Frantz tried to flee from officers while she was being charged. Frantz was taken to the county jail for centralized arraignment and will be in Ellicott Town Court later.

– Drew J. Jzieranowski, 42, of Jamestown was charged with petit larceny at 10 a.m. Nov. 6 after officers responded to a shoplifting at Runnings, 720 Fairmount Ave. Jzieranowski allegedly took clothing without paying. He was later found and the merchandise recovered, according to a police report. Jzieranowski will be in Ellicott Town Court later.
