NCCF announces $107,000 in community grants

Northern Chautauqua Community Foundation (NCCF) envisions a vibrant, prosperous community, rich in opportunity, today and tomorrow. NCCF strives to realize this vision through leadership, collaboration, local philanthropy, and strategic grantmaking.

Recently, NCCF’s Board of Directors approved Community Grants totaling $106,960 to be awarded to 17 local organizations. The biannual Community Benefit Grants Program awards grants to organizations seeking funding to improve and strengthen the northern Chautauqua region. The deadline to submit a letter of interest for the next round of Community Grants is March 1, 2025.

Organizations receiving funding from the 2024 Fall Community Grants Program are the following: Brocton Tri-Church Parish, Cassadaga Stockton Library System, Chautauqua Opportunities, Chautauqua Touwnship Historical Society, Concord Grape Belt Heritage Assoc. Dunkirk Public Library, Empty Bowls, First Presbyterian Church of Westfield, First United Church of Westfield, Fredonia Presbyterian Church, Jamestown YWCA, Lake Shore Center for the Arts, Literacy Volunteers, North Shore Arts Alliance, Revitalize Dunkirk, Sheridan Volunteer Fire Co., and Town of Arkwright. NCCF’s Grants Committee, made up of volunteers from the community, carefully reviews all letters of interest and applications received. Current Grants Committee members are Adam Dimitri (Committee Chair), Margaret Ferris, Kathy George, Cathy Kaicher, Alex Murphy, Betsy Swanson and Kurt Warmbrodt. Dave Travis is the NCCF Board President.
