BUSTI – A Riverside Road home was destroyed by fire Monday night.

Busti firefighters responded to a fire at 2938 Riverside Road, Busti, at 5:16 p.m. Monday. Chautauqua County fire investigators determined the fire started in the area of a pellet stove on the first floor of the home after a vent pipe failed. The home was demolished due to safety concerns.

Volunteer firefighters from Ashville, Frewsburg, Kiantone and Lakewood also responded to the fire, as did the Busti code enforcement officer and Jim Rauh Enterprises.

There were no injuries reported.
