Winner at film festival
State University of New York at Fredonia Department of Communication Adjunct Lecturer Nick Smith won the Best Director award at the International New York Film Festival. Smith won the award with his short film, “No Future,” which was screened at the festival in October. “No Future” tells the tale of two punk rock criminals, Kazz and Wolfie Puke. Smith wrote, produced, and edited the film, which was shot on super 16 mm. The movie will be released online in 2025.
