Britt, a Freshman at Iowa Central Community College, won an Electric Bike kindly donated by Warren Motors in Westfield. Hospital and Foundation leaders applaud the efforts of the community which donated more than $11,500 in gifts-in-kind to benefit the hospital.

WESTFIELD — The “10 Days of Giving for WMH” Raffle was a huge success and Westfield Memorial Hospital Foundation and AHN Westfield Hospital have a lot to be thankful for this holiday season. Ticket sales far surpassed last year’s profits and the Foundation’s $10,000 goal for 2024. The WMH Foundation is happy to report $13,000 was raised from this fundraising effort in support of our community hospital.

As sponsors of “10 Days of Giving for WMH” Raffle, the Foundation Board of Directors would like to thank its many donors in the hospital’s 14 service areas, neighboring communities and beyond. Numerous businesses and individual donors stepped up to donate more than $11,500 worth of incredible gifts.

The Foundation’s ability to give away 10 ‘grand’ prizes and 10 ‘daily runner-up’ prizes as well as 10 ‘second runner-up’ prizes ranging from $100 to $1,500 provided priceless outreach to the community and the hospital participants. So many gifts made it possible for three lucky winners to be chosen for 10 consecutive days, beginning Monday, Nov. 18 leading up to Thanksgiving. These incredible prizes generated smiles on their faces and positive feedback for both the hospital and its Foundation.

The WMH Foundation would like to thank its many valued donors including ACME Appliance, Chautauqua Harbor Hotel, Chautauqua Suites, Chautauqua Institution, Drs. Steven and Carolyn Ihrig, Russell’s Steak House, Salvatore’s Italian Gardens, Dave Warren Motors, Westfield Ag & Turf and West Herr Automotive Group.

Numerous gift cards and gift certificates were also given by Blasdell Pizza, Buttercream Babe, Citgo, CJ’s Pizza, Full Strength Coffee, Jacks Barcelona Drive-In, Kwik Fill, Meeder’s Restaurant, Parkview Café, Tim Hortons, TOPS Friendly Markets, TW Biggins and Wegmans.

Other donors included Add Lumber, the Buffalo News, Buffalo Sabres, Calarco’s Italian Restaurant, Quagliana’s Bark Grill, Reno Pottery, and Westfield Nursery. Gift baskets were donated by Peaceful Designs, Johnson Estate Winery, Invention Room, Ralston Purina, and Tractor Supply.

Many are familiar with the hospital foundation’s mission and how it helps the hospital remain on the cutting edge of patient care. Now in its 46th Anniversary year, the WMHF, via its generous donors, continues its philanthropy by promoting outstanding healthcare.

Our community hospital can continue to provide high quality healthcare to all the residents throughout our community and beyond. AHN Westfield Hospital (a.k.a. Westfield Memorial Hospital) is a member of the Allegheny Health Network.
