Market raises funds for veterans
The Lake Shore Flea Market raised $1,600 from the “Cash for Christmas” 50-50. Rene’ Granata of the Sheridan VFW Post 6390 was presented $800 from Brian Meyer, Lake Shore Flea Market, on Dec. 7 during the holiday market. Fredonia resident was told he was the winner of the other $800. Needless to say, he was a very happy “elf.” The organizers of the Lake Shore Flea Market give a hearty thank you to all those that supported this fundraiser. The money not only made one lucky person very happy, but will also be helping our loyal, dedicated, patriotic veterans. The “Cash for Christmas” was so successful, the 50-50 will be continued. The next 50-50 will be a “Spring Fling”. This will again be ongoing starting with the Jan. 3 market and continuing through the April market. The winner will be drawn on April 5. Half of the money will support the Veterans and half will be awarded to one lucky winner. One ticket is $2 and three tickets are $5. The more tickets you buy, the better your odds and the bigger the pot for your Spring Fling. You do not have to be present to win. For information and flea market booth rental: 814-779-5553.
