BROCTON — On Tuesday, Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Road patrol was sent to a burglary at Pizza Guru’s 16 E. Main St. Forced entry was made to the rear door and the subject damaged the cash register stealing the money inside.

The Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office Criminal Investigation Division was called to assist. Boot impressions were located outside the pizzeria leading away heading east.

Further investigation and video footage from a local business nearby found a subject leaving the area of the building where the pizzeria was and entering a residence. Further investigation led to Tyler T. Dalton, 25, of 49 Smith St., being charged with third-degree burglary and two counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief and petit larceny.

A warrant was obtained for Dalton out of Portland
