Flea market open today, Saturday
SHERIDAN — The February flea market will feature new and vintage items with special emphasis on decor and gifts for Valentine’s Day.
Lake Shore Flea Market is open this weekend at the Sheridan VFW Memorial Post, 2556 Route 20. The hours are 4 to 7 p.m. today. The market opens again on Saturday from 9 a.m to 2 p.m. The VFW says “thank you” to all those fish fry supporters.
Though the VFW did not win, our loyal supporters voted us the third best fish fry in the OBSERVER/Post-Journal “Best of the Best” contest! Place your dinner order and come into the flea market to fill out a ticket to win two free fish fry dinners. No purchase is necessary to enter for the free dinners.
If you can’t make it Friday night, you may enter the drawing on Saturday too. The “Spring Fling” 50-50 started with the January flea market and continues through the April market. The winner will be drawn on April 5. Half of the money will support the veterans and half will be awarded to one lucky winner. One ticket is $2 and three tickets are $5.
The more tickets you buy, the better your odds and the bigger the pot for your Spring Fling. You do not have to be present to win either drawings. In addition to the flea market and Friday night fish fry, come back on Saturday for breakfast and lunch.
Breakfast menu includes breakfast sandwiches on homemade biscuits, fresh brewed coffee. Lunch is homemade soup of the week, pizza and wings The VFW offers a full service bar for a variety of beverages.
Valentine’s Day is next Friday and love is in the air. There will be a variety of beautiful Valentine’s gifts. Shop for jewelry, beautiful glassware and for your sweetheart of a guy, knives, military items and lots of rusty old stuff!
