Grape Belt Seniors list 2025 trips
The Grape Belt Seniors have announced six of the trips for 2025, with maybe more to come.
The first trip will be to Cleveland for the Yankee Baseball game which is on Wednesday, April 23. A 1:10 p.m. game and the bus will be leaving from Wamart at 10 a.m. and return at 8 p.m. Tickets are in section 334, club seating with an all you can eat buffet until the seventh inning. It is filling quickly. Please call soon as the organization needs payments to send in to hold the tickets. Final payment for this trip by March 7 to hold your seats.
On Saturday, May 31, the group is off to Shea’s for a 2 p.m. matinee, “Ain’t Too Proud,” the story of the Temptation’s history over the years and their success, with many of their popular songs. There are seats in row’s JKLMNO, only 10 rows from the stage. There will be a family style dinner at Ilio DiPaolo’s. Leaving Walmart at noon and returning at 7 p.m. This one also filling quickly. Need to get deposits for this trip to hold tickets with payment by April 7.
Monday, June 30 will be Niagara Flight & Niagara-On-The-Lake. Doing the Niagara Whirlpool Aero Car, lunch at the beautiful Garden Cafe, Butterfly Conservatory, and time in Niagara-On-The-Lake. Need a passport or enhanced license to go on this trip. Leaving from Walmart at 8 a.m. and returning at 7 p.m.
Sunday, Aug. 3 is going to be with Joel Dombroski as Tour Host for “Queen For A Day.” It starts with Brunch and a beverage at the “Barrell Factory.” Next is a cruise on the “Big Kahuna Tiki Boat,” with a tiki cocktail. There will be a carousel ride on the Historic Buffalo Heritage Carousel in Canal Side and continue on to the Magic Bear Beer Cellar at Larkinville for yet another tasty beverage. A stop will be made at Parkside Candies for a sweet treat included in the visit. Leave from Wal-Mart at 10:30 a.m. and return at 5:30 p.m.
On Oct. 1, the group will be traveling on the Arcade & Attica Train. Having lunch at the Turkey Run Golf Club, a stop at Made in America Store with a sweet treat is included, and a stop at Merritt Winery for a wine tasting. Depart from Walmart at 9:30 a.m. and return at 6 p.m.
Spragues and Sites will be on Oct. 15 in Portville. The group will start out at the Rusty Rooster Farm and Vintage and the Chocolate Roost. Next, it will be Spragues for lunch with three choices for your meal. After lunch the group will make their way to the Basilica of St. Mary the Angels in Olean and the last stop will be the Cuba Cheese Shoppe. Leave at 8:15 a.m. and return at 6 p.m.
The next potluck luncheon will be on Wednesday. All members need to just bring a dish to pass at 11:30 a.m. at the Masonic Lodge.
Please note that all trips are first paid and first reserved. All trips have a deadline for payment and once the venues are paid there is not a refund for tickets. Should you need to cancel, you can find someone to take your place and the Grape Belt Seniors will also help with that.
Membership dues for 2025 are now required by March 1 and new members are welcome. Exercise class is on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9 to 10 a.m. at the lodge, with game day on Friday at 10 a.m. Must be a member to attend activities.
