2 Fredonians arrested over threats, violence

Threats and violence led to the arrest of two people in Fredonia Friday.

According to a Fredonia Police Department press release, officers were required to assist the Salvation Army domestic violence unit Friday. Staff members were attempting to provide assistance to two people for domestic violence issues.

While doing so, the parties became combative with each other, and threatening towards the Salvation Army staff, requiring a request for the Fredonia Police Department.

The duo was Cody M. Kutschke, 26, and Hannah G. LinenFelsser, 27, both of Fredonia.

“Upon arrival, police officers immediately were received with threatening and combative behavior. While (police were) attempting to manage the incident Kutschke became combative with officers, at which time LinenFelsser punched an officer in the face,” the FPD release states. “Both subjects were taken into custody and transported to the Fredonia Police Department.”

Kutschke was charged with obstructing government administration, criminal contempt, and criminal mischief, then transported to the Chautauqua County Jail for arraignment.

LinenFelsser was charged with obstructing government administration and harassment, and was released on an appearance ticket scheduled for Village of Fredonia court on a later date.

The Fredonia Police Department was assisted by members of the Dunkirk Police Department, the University Police at SUNY Fredonia and the New York State Police.
