Silver Creek Senior Citizens meet

SILVER CREEK – The Silver Creek Seniors met on April 1 with 24 members present. President Sally Conover opened the meeting with the Pledge to the Flag and all singing God Bless America. She then welcomed guest speaker Dana Corwin from the Office of the Aging. Chaplain Pauline Flitt read “There’s a Bit of Heaven” and said a blessing for the members and the food. Everyone enjoyed the lunch which consisted of four pots of different homemade soups, and a variety of dishes. Jokes were shared by Jen Zlotnik and Sally C. Dana then informed the group of the many services that the OFA provides in our county and answered questions.

The 50-50 winners were Sally, Harry Suski and Ginny Chesbro. Winners of the door prizes were Lorrie Newman, Janice Snyder and Gene Chesbro. Wheel of Fortune lucky winners included: Jeanne Blakely, Al Wilson (twice), Jen, Tony Borrello and Janice. Sally called bingo and winners included Ginny, Pauline (3 times), Eleanor Lemiszko, Lorrie (twice), Gene, Deanna Borrello, Joan Militello, Randy Nurmi (twice) and Annette Hoeber.

Members decided to bring brown bag lunches Tuesday. The Silver Creek Seniors meet every Tuesday at 1 p.m. For information call Lorrie at 716-785-1074.
