Jamestown shooting injures one
JAMESTOWN – One person sustained non-life-threatening injuries after being shot Tuesday evening in Jamestown.
The shooting, according to the Jamestown Police Department, occurred around 7:15 p.m. in front of 47 Bowen St., near Peach Street. The person, who was not immediately identified, was taken by ALSTAR ambulance to UPMC Chautauqua WCA hospital.
The severity of injuries was not known, though Capt. Robert Samuelson of the Jamestown Police Department told The OBSERVER they were not life-threatening.
Investigators remained on Bowen Street throughout the evening.
No suspect or arrest was announced by press time Tuesday night.
