Dunkirk Beach Bash returns today
Count Dunkirk’s Beach Bash, set for today, as another summer event returning from a pandemic-induced cancellation.
The annual August party, which started in 2007, has been as much as three days in the past. However, it wasn’t held last year at all because of COVID-19.
According to Ryan Hall, Dunkirk city recreation department director who is coordinating this event, everything will be at Wright Park.
A couple of bands are set to play, he said. Kokamo Band will play from 4 to 6:30 p.m. and Furious George will take the stage from 6:30 p.m. to 9 p.m.
At 9 p.m., it’s time for a classic children’s movie loved by young and old alike. “The Lion King” will be shown on a portable movie screen in the park.
