Infinity Dance Academy participates in New Jersey events
This summer, Infinity Dance Academy was honored to represent Fredonia at the World Dance Championship in New Jersey. Exclusive invites are awarded at regional and national Star Dance Alliance competitions throughout the entire season. The World Dance Championship is a true competition of the best of the best where studios from across the globe come to compete for the title.
Infinity was thrilled to receive three “golden tickets” to compete at this year’s championship competition. The three qualifying routines were “Power Puff Girls,” “Leave a Light On,” and “Dog Days are Over.”
“Power Puff Girls” is an open category small group that consisted of 4 talented dancers from Silver Creek; Ericka Austin, Arianna Merced, Lilly Shaw, and Aubri Robbins. This routine placed 30th out of 51 other dances in their category. This was their first experience at a competition of this magnitude, and they couldn’t have ended their season with a better performance.
“Leave a Light On” is a large contemporary group that consists of 13 dancers from all over the county; Allie Pchelka, Ana Rosati, Angelina Rand, Emily Bowers, Isabella Manning, Jess Pulver, Kaylen Rollins, Kristina Jewell, Lacey Genovese, Leionna Thomas, Mariah Polowy, Mikayla Christopher, and Olivia Corbett. This routine was a success all throughout the season, earning top honors and many specialty awards at each competition. They performed impeccably at worlds and walked away placing 7th overall.
Last, the Infinity Dance Company performed “Dog Days are Over” an open category line which consists of multiple styles of dance; specifically, jazz, contemporary, acro and tap. This group consisted of 22 dancers, Adrina Lagano, Allie Pchelka, Ana Rosati, Angelina Rand, Aubree Miller-Shifflett, Emily Bowers, Hannah Powell, Isabella Manning, Jazmyn Bertino, Jess Pulver, Kaylen Rollins, Kristina Jewell, Kye Saletta, Lacey Genovese, Leionna Thomas, Mariah Polowy, Maddie Manning, Mikayla Christopher, Olivia Corbett, Sage Zachmann, Sophia Privitere, and Val Nasca. These dancers had an amazing performance and were honored to place 3rd overall in their category.
